Semaglutide is a compounded medication that is a GLP-1 receptor antagonist. The medication supports glucose metabolism which helps the pancreas to release the optimal amount of insulin. Administered weekly, Semaglutide is said to help substantially reduce food cravings and appetite while creating a sense of fullness. Patients can expect to reduce weight by 1-2 lbs. per week. In clinical studies, patients showed an average loss of 35 lbs. or 15% of body weight when used in combination with diet and exercise.
